Janet L. Chen, Secretary
Janet Lee Chen joined the Sterne School board in 2005 when her daughter attended the
middle school.

Janet was born and raised in San Francisco, attended George Washington High School,
UC Berkeley, and Hastings College of the Law.

Janet has worked at the SF Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service, Asian Law Caucus,
and the SF Public Defender's Office, managed real estate properties for her family, and owned and operated a woman's clothing boutique in San Francisco.

Janet is active in community service in San Francisco’s Chinatown community and is a charter member of the Rotary Club of SF in Chinatown. She has served on the boards of the Chinatown Youth Center and Asian Neighborhood Design. She is also on the board of the Rose T.Y. Chen Charitable Foundation.
