High School

Sterne High School combines a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum with exciting tools and techniques for engaging students in the learning experience.

At Sterne High School, students learn to handle a new measure of independence and the responsibilities that go with it. They experience the balance of academics, experiential learning, arts and extracurricular opportunities that shape the whole student.

High school students enjoy our 1:1 iPad program with access to course content as well as apps tailored to their personal learning styles. Each student's daily schedule includes fundamental college prep courses plus electives from a wide range of choices.

Project-based learning and small class sizes create a dynamic, interactive and engaging classroom experience to help build analytical and problem-solving skills. Our low faculty/student ratio means that all students can get as much individualized support as they need to achieve their full potential.

Our Experiential Learning program sends students to places as diverse as Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, Washington DC, Yosemite, and even San Francisco's Chinatown for hands-on, learning-by-doing experiences. Students also perform community service at places like St. Anthony's Kitchen, the Food Bank, and the Presidio Trust.
