START WITH STRENGTHS

Sterne School is the Bay Area's premiere co-ed, independent day school for neurodiverse learners in grades 4–12. Using a strengths-based approach to learning, we empower students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other language-based learning challenges to find their own version of greatness.

At Sterne, we know that in a world where everyone’s learning profile is unique, there cannot be a one size fits all educational approach. Every day, we teach students how to unlock the learning style that works best for them. We believe that when support is a part of, not an exception to the school day, kids can focus on being kids while also becoming confident, capable learners.

Lower School

Sterne's strengths-based program offers our youngest learners the perfect balance of interventions, enrichment, and joyful learning.

Middle School

At Sterne, we take the time to get to know your student's learning profile and provide them with a tailored learning experience.

High School

Our college preparatory program fosters autonomy and critical thinking, while making room for extra support.
