Meet Sterne's Newest Faculty Member, Jessica Fine

I am from the Republic of Ireland and have very recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. In my career to date, I have gained a wealth of experience teaching in mixed-ability classroom environments in both public and private, international schools in Ireland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and in the United Arab Emirates. My undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Earth Science, gave me the opportunity to study the natural sciences of geography, geology and environmental science, as well as the hard sciences of chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics.

From there, I completed my postgraduate degree, a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE), where I trained to teach the subjects of geography and science at secondary school level (middle and high school). I aim to inspire my students to develop a life-long love of learning and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their greatest potential. I am very excited to be joining the dynamic faculty at Sterne School and to advocate its “strengths” model where we focus on what our students can do and the many talents yet to be realized.

Jessica joins Sterne as the newest member of the UEMS faculty. Please join us in welcoming her to the Sterne community.
