Please note: The admissions season for 2021-2022 opens in October and registration for our virtual Open Houses will be available through Ravenna. To get started, you can create an account and begin to explore Sterne School.

How to Apply

Step 1: Create an Account with Ravenna Solutions

Create a Ravenna Account to register for a virtual Open House and to access Sterne School’s admissions application.

Step 2: Submit Application and application fee of $100.

Apply to Sterne School through Ravenna.

To be considered for a reduced or waived application fee, please contact us at admissions@sterneschool.org.

Please note, we must receive your application prior to scheduling the parent interview and student visit/assessment.

Step 3: Schedule Student Visit and Assessment

Student Visit The campus visit is an opportunity for your child to spend the day on campus, visit classes, meet teachers, and get to know other Sterne students. During Distance Learning, students will visit online classes and a social lunch hangout.

Assessments Applicants for grades 4-8 will complete a math, reading, and writing assessment in our Admissions Office during their visit (virtually during COVID-19 mandates).

Step 4: Parent/Guardian Interview

Interviews typically range from 30-45 minutes and are an opportunity for the Admissions Staff to learn more about your child and for you to ask questions.

Step 5: Submit the Required Supplemental Materials

Transcript Release Forms are delegated to your child’s school and the school registrar will electronically submit documents through Ravenna.

Evaluation Forms (grades 4-8) and Teacher Recommendation Forms (grades 9-12) are completed and submitted to Sterne directly by the student's current teachers/counselor. Parents delegate evaluation forms through Ravenna. Teachers electronically submit forms through Ravenna directly to Sterne School. Please give the teachers plenty of time to complete these recommendations before the application deadline.
