The year was 1987. The Cosby Show was one of the most popular TV programs. Michael Jackson released the album, "BAD." The Bangles had the #1 song on the Billboard. And thanks to a grant from the Morris Stulsaft Foundation, Sterne School acquired four Apple lle computer systems with color monitors, two Imagewriter printers, and word processing software.
Each Sterne student was provided 72 hours of computer class time/year, which included learning how to keyboard and using Magic Slate (a word processing program.)
It was a big year for technology at Sterne.
