Sterne School is fortunate to be located in the heart of San Francisco, at the intersection of three vibrant neighborhoods with deep cultural roots. We take our responsibility to our City seriously. Our program affords every student (and teacher!) multiple opportunities to get out of the classroom and give back to the community around us every year.
Our high school students are required to complete service hours annually. Thanks to our outward-looking Associated Student Body (student council), and our long-standing Passages program, our faculty and staff have spent years cultivating relationships with organizations and “doers”all over the Bay Area. We make every effort to match our students with opportunities that fulfill them personally and help them grow as members of society. From Ocean Beach habitat restoration to Groceries for Seniors with the International Hotel, these are just a few ways Sterne students participate in the life of the City.
